Research Interests
My main research themes are computational analogy, case-based reasoning, case-based adaptation, qualitative modeling, knowledge discovery in databases.
My current work focuses on the transfer phase of analogical reasoning,
i.e., on the part of the reasoning that takes place
after a new situation was mapped to an analog retrieved from memory,
and in which new information is inferred about the new situation.
I recently proposed a new modeling of analogical transfer as a transfer of similarity knowledge,
and contributed a survey of case-based prediction methods.
